Sun's gray light creeps over my face as I stare out at the lawn. It's lonely in this place I feel old. My cereal is soggy; my tea's gone cold. Waiting for just a word, a breath-- Nothing but the drip of spilled milk from the counter. I miss you, dear. Chilled to the bone. This world is now alone. Lonely? You, only. I remember how we drove down city streets; Night time, just riding to where the horizon meets, Where it meets the sky. Your voice is loud as playful death threats Slip from lips--yours. I admit, I wanted more. The whisper of your voice stays on the wind. I smile, and on a whim, I cry. I didn't want to say goodbye.

Admittedly, she's forgotten about you. It's 6AM, are you aware? the clockhands ticking by. Clouds are getting angry as they're filling up the sky. A thorn in your side; You realize you're alone. Gone forever--isn't that what you said? Not a heart of stone. Why were you such a fool? Time counting down-- It's 5AM, you're more lonely than before. Please remember, it's your fault. Whore. Smile. Snow drifts down in large white flakes, landing on young cheeks flushed red with cold and excitement. A full moon and a sky filled with starlight pinpricks give enough light for the snow to glisten softly. A cold tongue pokes out to taste the frozen treat falling from the stars. It's cold, yes, but it only makes a young child feel more alive. A reaffirmation of being, one could say; a break from a harsh reality of unwelcome actions born of anger and hate. You know i'd love to let you know i'm still here but i seem to be too  f  a   d    e      d from the winter.
